Louis Vuitton at Art Basel in Miami

For over two decades, Louis Vuitton has championed the arts by collaborating with fine artists and designers, and has curated exhibitions to bring contemporary art to new audiences. For Art Basel Miami 2022, Louis Vuitton is exhibiting works by some of the world’s most celebrated artists for the 20th anniversary of Art Basel in Miami.

Two wax sculptures of Yayoi Kusama, created by the artist, eerily stand at attention, bedecked in dresses fashioned in Kusama's iconic polka dots. Surrounding these apparitions are colorful polka-dotted walls, LV handbags, purses, and shoes adorned in Kusama's polka dots. To celebrate the Maison’s relationship with Yayoi Kusama, and to mark the 10th anniversary of the first collaboration, selected new pieces are showcased as a prelude to their upcoming collaboration.

Visitors will also find a sculpture of a jovial panda by Takashi Murakami standing on a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk and appearing to be laughing with delight, the LV flower motif is engraved on the ears. Visitors can also see paintings by Richard Prince and Alex Katz, a photo by Jean Larivière, and Louis Vuitton’s classic Artycapucines collection.
